the emoji situation

I've made a script to automatically generate phpBB smiley packs from fedi emoji packs and imported all the neocat emojis using it.

As you can see, it's quite an unorganized mess right now, even after installing an extension to add a scroll box. phpBB isn't really designed for a lot of smileys.

Ideally we'd have tabs for the smiilies sorting them by category, as well as a search bar. But every extension that adds something like this seems to be out of date and unmaintained.

If possible I'd like to import other neomojis (foxes, dogs, bots, possum etc.) and also whatever other packs people want, but it's already hard to find what you want with just one neomoji pack installed.

Is there any solution to this problem? Do I have to make an extension myself?

Do yall care about having lots of different emojis?

yes, those packages and their display are a pain in phpBB. It really isn't supporting lots. Bringing the cats here is great! I love it! Thank you so much. I am sure some of us and not only me would like the foxes and I would love to have the silverwhale thingies too.

But, well, admittedly the cats are already too many to effectively be used and maybe sufficient ?

By the way, is it greedy and shameful to ask you for the smilie pack of the cats? I would want to include a few of them on my phpBB. Pretty please?
