TwinkedIn is a space for queers, hackers and lefties to have fun, make friends and talk about both serious and silly topics.

• This mostly started as an experiment for an alternative form of community compared to the fediverse, and people seem to quite like it. Forums have a certain retro aesthetic to them.
• TwinkedIn is here to stay now, I want to keep it running long term. You can make yourself at home here and invite friends if you want.
• Let's shape this place together. Bring in your own ideas and suggestions! Just because something doesn't exist on here right now doesn't mean it shouldn't exist.
• I'm hoping to avoid unnecessary drama and infighting here, so I hope we can all treat each other with civility. Tho obviously, serious conflicts need to be resolved properly.
• Currently, the "Newly Registered Users" feature is disabled. This means that every new user can immediately post without requiring mod approval for their first 3 posts. This is so that new users can join this community quickly right now, I'll probably enable the feature in the future for improved safety.
• TwinkedIn's moderation team and community largely consists of girls right now. However, TwinkedIn is a place for everyone, so if you're a guy who would like to mod a masc and/or yaoi themed forum, let me know!
• The server is administrated by lizzy and navi and hosted on a netcup VPS in Germany. Global Moderators right now are close friends of ours. It'll always be a hobby thing, but we have the financial resources to scale the hardware accordingly should demand for TwinkedIn grow.
• TwinkedIn might face a name change in the future if necessary for legal reasons.
• There is a TwinkedIn XMPP server and I might open registrations on it if people are interested in that.
